Support
Everything below is a real, working route to getting your problem solved. If none of it fits, email support@thevocabee.app and we will take it from there.
1.Contact us
Email support@thevocabee.app and a human will reply. We aim to respond within two business days, and we read every message.
It helps if you tell us your iPhone model, your iOS version, and the version of Vocabee you are running (Settings → About in the app). If something looks wrong on screen, a screenshot is worth a paragraph.
2.Manage or cancel your subscription
Vocabee Pro is billed by Apple, so it is managed in iOS rather than in the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Choose Vocabee, then Cancel Subscription.
You can also manage it at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
3.Restore a purchase
New phone, or Pro not showing up after a reinstall? Open Vocabee and go to Settings → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you originally bought with — this is the usual cause.
If it still does not unlock, email us and we will sort it out. Please do not buy a second subscription to work around it.
4.Refunds
All Vocabee purchases go through the App Store, so Apple — not us — issues refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
We cannot process App Store refunds directly, but if something went wrong on our side, tell us — we will help where we can and we will fix the underlying problem.
5.Delete your account and data
You can delete your account and everything synced to it from inside the app, in one step and without asking us first:
- Open Vocabee and go to Settings → Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This permanently removes your account record and your synced learning data. If you would rather we did it, email support@thevocabee.app from the address on your account and we will delete it within 30 days.
Never made an account? Then nothing of yours is on our servers to begin with — deleting the app removes your local data. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
6.Reminders and notifications
Turn the daily reminder and the word alarm on or off in the app under Settings → Reminders.
If notifications never arrive, check iOS Settings → Vocabee → Notifications and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Focus modes and Low Power Mode can also delay them.
7.Words missing or not syncing
Vocabee is local-first: your words live on your device, and sync only happens if you created an account and turned it on. If your words are missing on a second device, confirm you are signed in to the same Vocabee account on both.
If data has genuinely disappeared, email us before reinstalling — reinstalling clears local data and can make it unrecoverable.
8.Report a bug or a wrong definition
Some Vocabee content is generated by an AI model, so a definition or example sentence is occasionally off. If you spot one, email us the word and what looks wrong and we will correct it.
For crashes, the most useful thing you can do is turn on iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers, which sends us anonymous crash reports.
9.Who you are dealing with
Vocabee is made by Riyaan Rahman, an independent developer. You are not emailing a ticket queue.
